Why you should buy a Caroma Dual Flush toilet

• These toilets really work.
• A single rubber washer replaces the traditional flapper valve - the cause of most toilet problems. The dual flush mechanism slides out for easy replacement should anything ever go wrong.
• The fill valve is a standard American brand. Any hardware store could probably supply a replacement.
• The toilets are especially easy to clean. The seat snaps on and off, and a smooth housing covers the hinge. The Caravelle 270 model features a smooth, sleek base that fully encloses the waste trap.
• All models have a 4-inch trap to help prevent clogs. In other toilets, traps may be as small as 1.5 inches. To maintain the wide drain opening, we suggest using a simple wax ring where possible. Wax rings with an added polyethylene flange reduce the drain opening.
• The 270 model can be connected to a drain hole centered either 10 or 12 inches from the wall. Older homes often have holes 10 inches from the wall; today, 12 inches is the standard.
• Available in white.

Materials

Bases: All bases are vitreous china, a very hard and acid-resistant material. Special clay and a glaze coating are fired together in a kiln, "vitrifying" the entire thickness of the toilet into a waterproof, glass-like material. In ordinary pottery, only the glaze is waterproof; the clay remains porous.

Tanks: Tanks on the models below are vitreous china.

Seats: Seats on all these models are heavy-section polypropylene. This plastic resists damage from cleaning chemicals. Seat size is specific to these toilets and is sized between standard and elongated-bowl seats.

Caravelle 270 Model

A modern concept closed-coupled 1.6/0.8 gpf dual flush toilet featuring unique two button activation providing substantial water saving compared to standard toilets and adjustable rough in and smooth rounded contours for easy cleaning. The closet bowl has been designed with rough in of 10" (255mm) to 12" (305mm) provided by a plastic offset outlet connector option. The overall length from the finished wall is 29 3/4" (756mm). The tank incorporates the Duo-Flo mechanism which has been specially developed with the Caravelle 270 toilet to ensure optimum reliable flushing performance. Due to the substantial water saving benefits achieved by the 1.6/0.8 gpf dual flush system the toilet is suitable for multi-purpose applications where water conservation is important.
